My Lovebirds and Parrotlets

A friend in Florida gave me my first two lovebirds in 2006. They turned out to be a male and female now named Azaria(Pied) and Zach(Green). I found out they are clutch mates so they will not be bred again. I found out the hard way that inbreeding should be avoided. They had three clutchs but only one from three clutchs have survived, so they are awaiting new mates.

Lovebirds are such clowns, turning and hanging upside down. They are a lot of fun to watch.

I really liked having the birds so, I acquired more and paired them up for breeding. The color mutations are interesting so I am adding new colors all the time.

Fischer lovebirds, "Joya" a pastel and "Tesoro" normal green.

Green Mask hen, "Tiffany". She was very picky about mates but I later found a Cobalt Mask cock "Rodger" to pair with her.

Blue Mask cock "Beau"and a Cobalt Mask hen "Tootsie".

And finally a pair of Parrotlets, a blue cock "Sky"and a green/blue hen"Esmerelda". I bought them as a proven pair that usually have mostly blue babies. So far I have not had much luck breeding these little parrots, but I'm hoping to eventually have some babies from them.I

I should have some hand fed weaned babies for sale in December 2008. Check my baby page later for hatch dates.
